Sydney Developer’s Brother Freed After Dramatic Kidnapping Ordeal

A shocking case in Sydney has captured nationwide attention after the brother of prominent property developer Charlie Ayoub was allegedly kidnapped by what’s believed to be an underworld gang . The victim, George Ayoub , was taken right outside his home in the city’s west before being rescued days later following an intense police operation.

CCTV footage reportedly showed the terrifying moment when a white SUV pulled up and three men jumped out, grabbing George as he was heading to the gym. He was forced into the vehicle and held captive for four long days. Police later confirmed that a strike force was quickly established to locate him, while investigators quietly worked behind the scenes to ensure his safety.

During that period, George’s family is said to have received ransom demands, sparking a desperate effort to bring him home. According to former gangster Peter Vaiusu , known on social media as Triggz , he received a call early on Thursday morning from a distressed Charlie Ayoub, pleading for help. Vaiusu took to TikTok and Instagram, asking whoever was responsible to show mercy and release George.

“He’s never been in trouble, never had a criminal record, never been part of any gang,” Vaiusu said in his video. “They took him because his brother has money.” His emotional appeal quickly spread online, drawing public concern and media attention.

Police, however, requested media outlets to temporarily withhold reporting on the abduction, fearing that publicity could endanger George’s life. Behind the scenes, detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad continued their search, piecing together clues and negotiating his safe release.

By Monday, relief finally came. George Ayoub, aged 28, was safely recovered and reunited with his family after what’s believed to have been a $1 million ransom offer . Vaiusu later shared that the reunion was deeply emotional, describing “the look on George’s face” and the tears of joy from his family as “priceless.”

The Belfield home from which George was abducted became a hub of activity as friends, relatives, and police gathered in the aftermath. Detectives were seen entering and exiting the property, while patrols surrounded the neighborhood.

George, along with his brothers Charlie and Normie, is involved in several business ventures, including ownership of a rural property in the Southern Highlands.

While George is now safe, the investigation continues. The three suspects captured in CCTV footage remain on the run, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. For now, though, the Ayoub family’s nightmare has turned into relief, as a dangerous ordeal that could have ended much worse finally came to a close.
