Search Efforts Intensify for Missing Eau Claire County Teen
So here’s what’s going on right now in Eau Claire County, and it’s a situation that local authorities are hoping the community can help resolve. A request has been issued by the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in finding 17-year-old Evelyne Conners, who has been reported as a missing or runaway juvenile. She left her home on her own late in the evening on November 24, sometime around 11:30 p.m., and since then, attempts to track her down have been challenging.
Evelyne is described as a white female, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 130 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair. When she left, she reportedly took some of her personal belongings with her. It’s believed she may have been picked up by someone that night, although at this point, she could be traveling on foot or possibly staying with friends or acquaintances. Based on what investigators know so far, there’s no immediate indication that she is in danger, but locating her has been made more difficult because her social media activity appears to be inactive, used very sparingly, or possibly turned off entirely. For investigators, that greatly limits the usual digital clues that help track a person’s movements.

Authorities also mention that Evelyne has previously spent time in several other areas, including Neillsville, Eleva-Strum, and even as far as Williston, North Dakota. Because of those past connections, there’s a chance she may have traveled to one of those places or reached out to someone she knows there. Investigators are especially encouraging her friends—anyone who might have seen her or heard from her recently—to come forward, even if they feel unsure or hesitant. Any piece of information, no matter how small it seems, could help narrow the search.
Right now, the priority is simply making sure Evelyne is located and safe. The sheriff’s office is urging the public to share anything they know that might help bring her home. If you’ve seen Evelyne, had recent contact with her, or have any idea where she might be staying, you’re asked to reach out to Eau Claire County Emergency Dispatch at 715-839-4972, contact Detective Kory Brock directly at 715-271-7211, or leave an anonymous tip with Eau Claire County Crime Stoppers at 715-874-8477.
Community support often plays a crucial role in cases like this, and the hope is that with enough eyes and ears paying attention, Evelyne will be found soon and reunited with the people who are worried about her.
