Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ NYC Townhouse: A Glamorous Slice of Paris

In New York City’s Upper East Side, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have transformed their five-story townhouse into a dazzling blend of Art Deco elegance and old Hollywood glamour. Purchased in 2013, this French-inspired sanctuary has been their family home for over a decade. Despite their children growing up and moving out, the property’s timeless design remains untouched, a testament to the creative vision of designers William Sofield and Emma O’Neill.

The January issue of Architectural Digest offers an exclusive look inside the couple’s home, revealing a space that beautifully merges form and function. Among the highlights are 1940s Maurice Jallot dining chairs, a Napoleon-style secretary desk from 1870, and bedroom sconces salvaged from a vintage ocean liner. Practical touches like dual Art Deco armoires discreetly store scooters and sports gear, proving that functionality need not compromise style.

The couple’s penchant for theatrics is evident throughout the home. Ripa, who has spent her life in front of cameras, admits to being drawn to dramatic interiors. This flair is especially showcased in her main bathroom, where a white satin chaise lounge replicates a piece from the 1981 film Mommie Dearest . Though her initial choice of fabric didn’t last under practical use, it was later reupholstered, blending luxury with a lesson learned.

Consuelos’ cigar room offers a contrasting aesthetic with its dark walls, leather couches, and a bar framed by velvet curtains. Even the children’s rooms remain intact, preserving memories of their time at home while offering space for family visits during the holidays.

Beyond the design, Ripa’s connection to the townhouse is deeply emotional. She declares she has no plans to ever leave, jokingly stating, “They’ll have to carry me out of here feet-first.” For Ripa and Consuelos, their home is more than a dwelling; it’s a stage where their family’s story continues to unfold, combining Parisian charm and New York vitality in every corner.
