However, it is expected to be visible only in parts of the Pacific, North America, and South America on that night. For most of the world, including the Middle East, Europe, and South Asia , the moon may not be visible until the evening of March 1 . This means that some countries might start fasting on March 1, while others will begin on March 2, depending on the local moon sighting.
