TMNT Returns to Fortnite with Epic New Skins as Update 34.40 Goes Live

Hey everyone! So if you've been wondering, "Is Fortnite down?" — yes, but don't worry, it's all for a good reason. Fortnite just went into scheduled downtime today, April 22, 2025, to roll out one of the most exciting updates we’ve seen in a while: Update 34.40. And let me tell you, this patch is packed to the brim with content, cosmetics, and wild collabs — including a second wave of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles themed skins!

Now, if you thought the first TMNT drop was cool, buckle up. This time around, we’re getting Casey Jones, Rocksteady, Bebop, and even Krang in his iconic Android Body — all dropping as part of the new update. And it doesn’t stop there! The Turtle Van is now a vehicle skin in Fortnite, and it looks insanely fun. Basically, we’re not just talking heroes in a half shell anymore — we’ve got vigilantes rolling deep in a van.

But TMNT isn’t the only thing arriving with this update. Epic Games is truly flexing here — we’re getting a whole batch of new and returning cosmetics. Think Pen & Ink versions of White Widow and Winter Soldier, a skin inspired by Jenna Ortega, and even a revamped Monks skin. Plus, some serious firepower is making a comeback: the Shield Breaker EMP, Business Turret, Hop Rock SMG — yeah, they're all back in action.

If you’re feeling competitive, you’ll want to keep an eye on the upcoming cups. On April 25, there's the Thunderbolts Cup where you can win the White Widow skin early. Then there’s the Winter Soldier Cup, Elite Zadie Cup, and even a special PlayStation Cup coming later this month.

And all of this? It’s just the warm-up. Chapter 6 Season 3 kicks off May 2 with a LEGO Battle Pass , live event teasers, and a massive Star Wars crossover. We’re talking lightsabers, Wookie Team Leaders, and yes — even a rumor about Darth Jar Jar. It’s about to get galactic in Fortnite.

Leaks also hint at future collabs with One Piece , Demon Slayer , Futurama , Pixar’s Cars , and so much more. Honestly, the Fortnite metaverse is becoming a pop culture multiverse at this point.

So yeah, the servers might be down right now, but it’s only to load in some major awesomeness. Whether you're jumping in for the TMNT gear or just prepping for that Star Wars takeover, now’s the time to gear up.

Let me know — are you picking up any of the new skins? What collab are you hoping to see next in Fortnite?
