The excitement is real — USA Basketball has officially announced its 2025 Women’s AmeriCup Team, and it's making headlines for more than just the talent on the court. Among the 12 standout players selected are college basketball stars Hannah Hidalgo and Olivia Miles, whose reunion on the national stage has sparked both buzz and speculation across social media.

After an impressive college season that saw them dominate at Notre Dame, Hidalgo and Miles were among the 21 athletes invited to the Team USA trials held at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Just two days after the trials began on June 17, fans were treated to a photo on USA Basketball’s Instagram showing the two sitting closely and smiling — a moment that instantly ignited discussions about their relationship following some viral tension earlier this year.

The departure led to speculation of a rift between her and Hidalgo, further fueled by footage circulating online that appeared to show a confrontation. But now, with both guards reunited under the Team USA banner, questions about their dynamic are back on the table.

Regardless of any off-court rumors, the focus now shifts to the court. The final roster, announced on June 20, also includes top-tier talent like LSU’s Flau’jae Johnson and former Duluth Marshall standout Gianna Kneepkens. Together, this group will represent the U.S. at the 2025 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup in Santiago, Chile, starting June 28. They’ll compete in Group B against Chile, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.
