Kvaratskhelia Shines as PSG Crushes Monaco in Dominant 4-1 Victory

What a night in Paris! PSG once again proved why they’re the kings of Ligue 1, storming past Monaco with an emphatic 4-1 victory at Parc des Princes. But the highlight of the match? Khvicha Kvaratskhelia announcing himself in style with his first goal for the Parisians.

The Georgian winger, signed from Napoli for a hefty €70 million, showed exactly why PSG invested in him. In the 54th minute, he received a quick pass, controlled it beautifully, cut inside past Christian Mawissa, and, off balance, scooped the ball over Monaco’s keeper Radoslaw Majecki. A pure moment of class, and just like that, PSG was back in control with a 2-1 lead.

And they didn’t stop there. Just three minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé combined brilliantly with Désiré Doué and slotted in PSG’s third goal, putting the game well beyond Monaco’s reach. Dembélé wasn’t done yet, though—he wrapped things up in the final minute with a simple tap-in, extending his league tally to 16 goals this season.

PSG had started strong right from the whistle. In just the sixth minute, Vitinha curled in a perfect free kick, taking advantage of a misjudgment by Majecki, who left a gaping hole in his positioning. Monaco did show some fight, with captain Denis Zakaria pulling one back after a clever assist from Soungoutou Magassa, but it wasn’t enough to shake PSG’s dominance.

Despite Monaco’s attacking flair—especially through the talented Maghnes Akliouche—their defensive errors cost them dearly. The loss could push them down to fifth place if Lille and Nice win their upcoming fixtures. Meanwhile, PSG’s lead at the top of the table has now stretched to a massive 13 points.

Next up, PSG faces Brest on Tuesday in the first leg of their Champions League playoff match. With Kvaratskhelia already making his mark and the squad firing on all cylinders, the Parisians look unstoppable. Can anyone challenge them in Ligue 1 this season? Right now, it doesn’t seem likely.
